2025 QCU Student Scholarship

Every year QCU awards college scholarships for eligible students to help finance the education they deserve!

About QCU's Student Scholarship

Quincy Credit Union will award one $2,000 scholarship in honor of William Phelan’s 50+ years of service to QCU, along with four $1,000 scholarships for eligible high school seniors and/or enrolled undergraduates attending an accredited U.S. college or university. Scholarship awards will be paid directly to recipients upon verification of second-semester enrollment. Winners will be selected by the Scholarship Committee.

Eligibility Requirements:

All applicants
  • QCU Membership: Must be a QCU member with a Primary Share Account in their name and in good standing. Not a member? Apply here.
  • Scholarship Application: Complete the application, upload all required documents, and respond to the essay questions. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Household Financial Information: Submit the Household Financial Information form, completed by a parent or guardian. If you file taxes independently, you may complete this form yourself. More information on this form is listed below.
Additional Requirements and Information:
High School Seniors
  • Must be graduating in 2025 and pursuing acceptance to an accredited college or university.
  • Document(s) You'll Need for the Application: A copy of your Acceptance Letter or proof of Application to an accredited college or university.
Enrolled Undergraduate Students
  • Must be currently be attending a U.S. College or University. 
  • Document(s) You'll Need for the Application: An official or unofficial copy of your most recent college transcript, including the school’s name, your name, and your cumulative GPA.

What Parents/Guardians Will Need
  • Income Details: Their most recent Massachusetts state tax filing.
  • Student Information: Please be sure to enter the student’s exact name and email address as used in their scholarship application to ensure the forms are linked properly!
Submitting the Form
  • When to submit: The form can be submitted before or after the scholarship application but must be submitted before the deadline
  • Confidentiality: Information is used only for scholarship application processing and will remain confidential.

Deadline: Friday, April 11, 2025. 

All required documents including the Household Financial Information form, must be submitted by April 11, 2025 no later than 11:59 PM.

Note: Recipients may only receive one QCU scholarship award. Previous recipients are not eligible. No alternate winners will be selected. Quincy Credit Union reserves the right to amend eligibility criteria.
